くま川鉄道、全線再開　熊本豪雨で被害、６年ぶり―地元住民「すごくうれしい」

人吉温泉駅のホームで、地元小学生の号令に合わせて出発するくま川鉄道の記念特別列車、２０日午前、熊本県人吉市２０２０年７月の熊本豪雨で線路などに大きな被害を受け、一部区間で運休が続いていた熊本県人吉市の第三セクターくま川鉄道が２０日、約６年２カ月ぶりに全線で運行を再開した。 Kumagawa Railroad Co., a public-private railway operator in the southwestern Japan prefecture of Kumamoto, fully resumed service on Sunday, about six years and two months after the railway was heavily damaged in the July 2020 Kumamoto rain disaster.
