  four slain Israeli hostages were returned by Hamas, 503 days after they were initially kidnapped in the Oct.7, 2023 raids on southern Israel and massacres.

The bodies were transferred to the Red Cross, who then transported the coffins to Israel. All four had been initially taken from Kibbutz Nir Oz in southern Israel.

Trump Warns 25% Tariffs On Cars, Drugs And Chips Coming In April

President Trump signed an executive order Tuesday affirmatively pulled all the “independent” boards, commissions, and agencies that have proliferated since the Roosevelt administration under the management of the White House. The order, titled Ensuring Accountability for All Agencies – The White House, states, “For the Federal Government to be truly accountable to the American people, officials who wield vast executive power must be supervised and controlled by the people’s elected President.”

 The new order has several points. 
This order shall not apply to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System or to the Federal Open Market Committee in its conduct of monetary policy.  This order shall apply to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System only in connection with its conduct and authorities directly related to its supervision and regulation of financial institutions.. The formerly independent agencies must clear all regulations through OMB.
Moreover, all executive departments and agencies, including so-called independent agencies, shall submit for review all proposed and final significant regulatory actions to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) within the Executive Office of the President before publication in the Federal Register.

The White House, not agencies, will provide interpretation of the law. This, in particular, is going to stop agencies like the EPA from using their interpretation of the law to increase their regulatory power.
The President and the Attorney General, subject to the President’s supervision and control, shall provide authoritative interpretations of law for the executive branch.  The President and the Attorney General’s opinions on questions of law are controlling on all employees in the conduct of their official duties.  No employee of the executive branch acting in their official capacity may advance an interpretation of the law as the position of the United States that contravenes the President or the Attorney General’s opinion on a matter of law, including but not limited to the issuance of regulations, guidance, and positions advanced in litigation, unless authorized to do so by the President or in writing by the Attorney General.

If this order sticks, Trump has permanently and fundamentally changed the Executive Branch as it has existed since 1935 in less than a month.

Huge data breach involving social security numbers could impact millions of Americans

Over 270 million Americans may have had their social security number leaked on the dark web. The latest breach involved National Public Data, which performs background checks.
National Public Data released details last month of an incident believed to involve a third party trying to hack into data in late 2023. Potential leaks of certain data involved names, email addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers and mailing addresses in April and this summer.

“This is clearly one of the largest breaches that we’ve seen, just based on the pure volume of personal data and records that have been compromised and exposed,” said Steve Stransky, a co-chair of the Data Privacy and Cyber-security Practice Group at Thompson Hine.

 The Impoundment and Control Act of 1974 was passed at the height of the Watergate debacle and was a calculated move by Congress to stop Nixon’s so-called Imperial Presidency.

Understood in its most basic terms, Congress says that if it voted to spend money on something, the president may not change that amount, even if he can achieve the exact same outcome by spending less money. To put it bluntly, the Act says that the president is not allowed to save the country money.

In short, the US National Archives could not extradite the 7 audit reports I requested. The reports were not present at the National Archives, the OIG or at the Treasury Department. I doubt an attempt to “submitting a FOIA request directly to the Treasury Department” will bring me anything; likely it will be a waste of time as I had already contacted all possible government departments separately, which could not deliver me the reports I was looking for despite none of them was unwilling to help me. I will, however, submit a couple of new FOIA’s at the US government regarding gold audits.

Trump’s presidency does not fit the mold of a Bonapartist regime, let alone a fascist one. His administration has not expanded the size of government but has worked to reduce it. His second term has been marked by aggressive efforts to fire entrenched bureaucrats, weaken regulatory agencies, and scale back America’s global military commitments. If his critics truly believed he was a dictator in the making, they would not be fighting to prevent him from shrinking the federal government. If they feared authoritarianism, they would not be racing to court to demand that unelected agencies be allowed to operate outside of presidential oversight. And they would not be decrying Vice President J.D. Vance’s defense of free speech in Europe if they feared Trump was going to curtail freedom in America

Trump IRS Purge: 15,000 Employees Have Been Identified for Potential Termination as Early as Next Week

A federal judge in Washington on Friday handed Elon Musk’s government efficiency team a win by declining a request to temporarily block it from accessing sensitive data from at least three federal agencies.

Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee held a hearing on Friday afternoon after 14 Democrat state attorneys general sued Trump and DOGE and claimed Elon Musk is operating with unchecked power since he is not senate confirmed.
Blue states such as Arizona, Michigan, Rhode Island, New Mexico, California, Massachusetts and others filed a lawsuit arguing President Trump violated the Appointments Clause of the Constitution when he created DOGE and gave Elon Musk ‘unchecked power.’
The attorneys general argued that since Elon Musk is not senate confirmed, he should be barred from issuing orders to anyone inside of the executive branch.



They argued that the Trump Admin’s creation of DOGE with Elon Musk at the helm violates the Appointments Clause of the Constitution.
In a strange twist, the exact argument previously played out in Tanya Chutkan’s court. Recall that President Trump’s lawyers in a motion to dismiss argued that Jack Smith’s appointment to special counsel violated the Appointments Clause of the Constitution because he was not senate confirmed.
Judge Chutkan tossed out Trump’s motion to dismiss based on the Appointments Clause argument, however, Judge Cannon dismissed the classified documents case based on this very argument.
On Friday, Judge Chutkan appeared to be skeptical of the emergency restraining order request.
 , Chutkan was not buying the demand for emergency relief after a lawyer for New Mexico argued that Elon Musk is a “literal wrecking ball.”
The lawyer argued that an emergency TRO was necessary because Elon Musk will work all weekend and cause harm over the weekend.

US retail spending plunged last month, falling for the first time since August

American shoppers pulled back on their spending last month for the first time since August as stubborn inflation continued to bite and harsh weather curbed economic activity.
Retail sales plunged 0.9% in January from the prior month, the Commerce Department said Friday. That’s down sharply from December’s upwardly revised 0.7% gain and well below economists’ expectations of a 0.4% decline. The figures are adjusted for seasonal swings but not inflation.
Shoppers reined in their spending across multiple categories last month. Specialty stores and auto dealers were hit hardest, with spending falling 4.6% and 3%, respectively.

Inflation could worsen if President Donald Trump keeps his promise of imposing 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada as soon as March 1. The Trump administration is also weighing levying reciprocal tariffs in April. Most economists say Trump’s hefty duties would likely ramp up price pressures in the US, contrary to the Trump administration’s belief that foreign countries will pay for the tariffs

Abolish property taxes? DeSantis endorses the idea and explains how it could be done in Florida

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis endorsed the idea of abolishing property taxes throughout the Sunshine State, but explained that it would require a constitutional amendment.
The governor, who is currently serving his second term after a decisive re-election victory in Florida’s 2022 gubernatorial contest, was responding to someone on X who advocated abolishing property taxes in the state and asked what would need to be done to make that happen.
“Property taxes are local, not state. So we’d need to do a constitutional amendment (requires 60% of voters to approve) to eliminate them (which I would support) or even to reform/lower them,” DeSantis noted.
“We should put the boldest amendment on the ballot that has a chance of getting that 60%,” he continued. 
“I agree that taxing land/property is the more oppressive and ineffective form of taxation,” the governor added.

US Aircraft Carrier Damaged After Colliding With Huge Merchant Ship Off Egypt 

In a highly unusual and embarrassing incident, a US Navy aircraft carrier has collided with a merchant ship off the coast of Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea, a US Sixth Fleet spokesman revealed Thursday.
The collision involved the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and the merchant vessel Besiktas-M at around noon local time on Wednesday.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is formally ending a review that it initiated during the Biden administration to assess the potential health risks posed by gas-powered stovetops.
In a statement to the Washington Free Beacon, Consumer Product Safety Commission acting chairman Peter Feldman said he considers the matter “concluded” and emphasized that the federal government should not interfere with consumer choice. Feldman’s comments effectively put an end to a years-long process that critics feared would lead to a broad ban on gas stoves.

 President Trump significantly cut funding to the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), essentially “starving” the organization. 

What’s happening at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is a very big deal, and has not been previously reported.

NED, a key U.S. instrument for supporting grassroots freedom movements around the world, is under siege from Elon Musk’s DOGE. An order from DOGE to the U.S. Treasury that blocked disbursement of NED funds has crippled the organization—which received $315 million for fiscal year 2025—and its affiliates, The Free Press has learned.

“It’s been a bloodbath,” one NED staffer said. “We have not been able to meet payroll and pay basic overhead expenses.”

NED’s dismantling would be far more than a cost-cutting measure. It would symbolize a major change in U.S. foreign policy, undercutting the notion that democratic ideals foster U.S. global strength and influence. Instead, the Trump administration would be signaling that it no longer believes that promoting democracy around the globe is in the national interest.

Pe Kha Lau, a refugee from Myanmar living in a displacement camp in neighbouring Thailand, died four days after she was discharged from a USAID-funded healthcare facility operated by the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

She is thought to be one of the first people to have died as a direct result of Washington’s decision to freeze all funding for aid projects for 90 days.

The Telegraph had its story. There were photos of the woman’s 50-year-old daughter with her husband and child sitting on a bed. The child appears to be well under 10. The husband said when the mother-in-law would get short of breath, he would carry her to the IRC hospital. The 71-year-old would then recover. He said they are poor, and cannot afford “oxygen.”
The article has a photo of the daughter holding her smartphone. On the smartphone is a photograph from her mother’s funeral. Yes, she has a smartphone.
One might ask, why is America funding Myanmar refugee camps in Thailand? Why isn’t the Thai government, or a host of other Asian countries, spending their money on refugee camps in their own backyard? Why did this woman need oxygen in the first place? And why, of all things, did the IRC suddenly cut off the “oxygen supply” within a few days of Trump taking office? I have a dozen more questions.

 The Telegraph had a narrative to sell. That narrative is simple.

 Trump is offering a solution to get them out and relocate them. Yes there is an argument that this is ethnic cleansing, but I don’t know what better solution there is. Is staying in Gaza under the rule of Hamas and Israel, really what’s best for the people of Gaza?
The alternative is moving the Israeli’s out of the Middle East, but wouldn’t that also then ethnic cleansing? Or do we just let them stay next to each other and keep killing each other, causing instability in the region, and threatening larger scale global war? Trump’s solution at least stops the killing, and creates a better life for the people of Gaza. I mean they literally claim it’s a giant concentration camp, and Trump is offering them a ticket out of there, and people are still mad about it.
My point is, that all sides are not going to be happy in whatever happens, but at least Trump is working towards a lasting and peaceful solution, because the strategy of letting them live next to each other is clearly not working. As for the US “taking” Gaza after all is said and done, I’m not so sure about that aspect of the plan, but suppose it’s better than Israel taking it.
What I do know, is that Trump has shown us he is sincere in his mission to defeat the deep state and bring peace, so I trust him and his team to find a solution. If Trump’s plan does not work, then we are right back where we started, and they can go back to killing each other.

ISIS has an army in waiting — and Trump’s next move could decide whether it rises again

  In a network of prisons and detention camps across northeastern Syria, the Islamic State militant group has an army in waiting, and fanatical support for its brutal regime lives on.

For now the prisons and camps are guarded by the American-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a Kurdish-led fighting force that battled alongside the U.S. military to destroy ISIS’ so-called caliphate.

JUST IN: Judge Smacks Down CBS, Clears Trump’s $20B Lawsuit To Move Forward 

A court ruling has paved the way for President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against CBS and its parent company, Paramount Global, to move forward.

U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk dismissed CBS and Paramount’s motion to throw out the case as “moot,” following significant updates to the original complaint. The updates include adding Paramount Global as a co-defendant, introducing Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX) as a co-plaintiff, and boosting the damages sought to a staggering $20 billion.
The court cited precedent stating that an amended complaint supersedes the original complaint, rendering prior motions to dismiss ineffective. The amended complaint introduces additional parties and expands the factual and legal claims.
The lawsuit stems from the controversial “60 Minutes” interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris that aired in October. Trump’s legal team accuses CBS of “news distortion,” alleging the network edited Harris’s responses to unfairly tilt public perception in her favor during the 2024 Presidential Election.

US rescinds UN climate fund pledges 

The US under former presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama had pledged about $6bn combined to the GCF, with the most recent commitment announced at the Cop 28 climate talks in Dubai. But the two administrations were able to deliver only $2bn of the funding.
The US has canceled about $4bn in pledged money to the UN’s Green Climate Fund, the latest sign a sharp policy shift under President Donald Trump.
The State Department late last week said the US “has rescinded outstanding pledges to the Green Climate Fund,” but did not provide any further details.

Trump tariffs to stoke inflation in 2025: corporate economists

Eight out of 10 corporate economists forecast that U.S. tariffs will stoke inflation this year, Wolters Kluwer said Monday as the Trump administration intensified its shakeup of trade policy by threatening to impose 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
Economists at companies ranging from Ford Motor Co. to Morgan Stanley and KPMG to Eaton Corp marked up their forecast for the increase in the consumer price index this year to 2.7% from 2.5% in October, Wolters Kluwer found in a survey.

Yet, to require the payment of additional fees would disenfranchise voters, regardless of the amount of the fee.…After analyzing all the evidence in this matter, this court finds that the defendant’s activity of possessing a firearm within the confines of her home is an act protected by the Second Amendment. As previously reported, President Trump fired Hampton Dellinger, Special Counsel of the Office of Special (not to be confused with a special counsel hired as a federal prosecutor) on Friday.
“On behalf of President Donald J. Trump, I am writing to inform you that your position as Special Counsel of the US Office of Special Counsel is terminated, effective immediately. Thank you for your service,” Sergio Gor, Director of the White House Presidential Office wrote to Hampton Dellinger, according to Politico.




Later Monday evening, Judge Amy Berman Jackson sided with Hampton Dellinger and issued an administrative stay and allowed him to keep his job.
“Trump must allow Dellinger to continue to have “access” to the agency’s resources and cannot “recognize the authority of any other person as Special Counsel” while the order remains in effect, Jackson wrote,” according to Politico.

Federal Judge Threatening Trump Admin With Criminal Charges Over Spending Freeze Used To Be A Major Dem Donor 

The federal judge who suggested Trump administration officials could face criminal contempt over the spending freeze on Monday is a Democrat donor.
John J. McConnell, Jr., chief judge of the U.S. district court in Rhode Island, ordered the Trump administration to “immediately restore frozen funding” after determining officials violated his prior restraining order and suggesting further opposition could result in criminal charges.
McConnell cited a 1975 case that states, “Persons who make private determinations of the law and refuse to obey an order generally risk criminal contempt even if the order is ultimately ruled incorrect.”
While he was in private practice as an attorney until 2009, McConnell donated hundreds of thousands to Democratic campaigns and political action committees, including 2008 presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Barack Obama, according to Federal Election Commission records. He also donated over $8,000 to Democratic Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse’s 2006 senate campaign.

There are 73 hostages still in Gaza, 17 of whom were still slated to be released in the first phase. Not all of them are alive, and dozens would have remained in captivity until a “second phase” of the agreement.

The Hamas terrorist group on Tuesday dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s demand for the release of all remaining Israeli and American hostages from Gaza by noon on Saturday, or the ceasefire deal is over — and Israel can respond as it wants.

AP reports Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said the dozens of hostages would only be returned if all parties remain committed to a ceasefire deal reached last month.

President Donald Trump will direct Attorney General Pam Bondi to reestablish guidelines for enforcing the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), which bars Americans from bribing foreign officials, according to reports of a forthcoming executive order.

“U.S. companies are harmed by FCPA overenforcement because they are prohibited from engaging in practices common among international competitors, creating an uneven playing field,” the document said, per the outlet.
The FCPA was signed into law in 1977, making it illegal for Americans to pay officials of foreign nations to help them get or keep foreign business, the Department of Justice (DOJ) notes. The law, which has also applied to “certain foreign issuers of securities” since 1977, was amended in 1998.
“With the enactment of certain amendments in 1998, the anti-bribery provisions of the FCPA now also apply to foreign firms and persons who cause, directly or through agents, an act in furtherance of such a corrupt payment to take place within the territory of the United States,” according to the DOJ.

Boomerang Coming: Anti-Trump Federal Judge Rules FBI Must Provide Mar-a-Lago “Classified Documents” Material to FOIA Lawsuit

Leftist journalist Jason Leopold filed a FOIA lawsuit against the DOJ/FBI a few years ago, seeking the documents and background material assembled by the DOJ, FBI and Special Counsel Jack Smith in the Mar-a-Lago documents case.  With the Mar-a-Lago case against Trump dismissed by a Florida judge, and effectively dropped by Special Counsel Jack Smith.  The justification for withholding the responsive material is no longer valid.
This has resulted in anti-Trump U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell, now ruling that anti-Trump journalist Jason Leopold should be given the FOIA documents by the FBI and DOJ. [Ruling pdf here].  Essentially, Howell is saying, angrily, that with President Trump immune from criminal liability (SCOTUS immunity decision), the only public recourse for accountability is sunlight from within the evidence the FBI assembled.
Here is where it gets interesting.
The DOJ/FBI Special Counsel, previously said to the Florida court they would not reveal the content of the information because it was “classified” under “national security” grounds.  You might remember President Trump’s legal position was to make the content public because Trump said there was no classified material.

 Judge Beryl Howell is telling the DOJ/FBI to produce the “documents with classification markings,” and all surrounding information therein, to Jason Leopold, because Trump bad and the information will make the public hate him, or something [SEE Court Order].  But again, no-one knows what these “documents with classification markings” actually were…. Except, well, maybe us.  We have well-based circumstantially supported suspicions. {see here}
Will the Trump DOJ (now Pam Bondi) and the Trump FBI (likely Kash Patel) release the files and material to Jason Leopold, as demanded by Judge Howell?

Bottom line, I have a strong suspicion this order, intended to create an anti-Trump narrative, is going to boomerang once the public see the “Documents with classification markings.”
