Girls can have ADHD too. For a variety of reasons that fact may not be so evident as in boys, which often results in years of self-doubt, shame, and significant life difficulties for women, challenges which are different than for men. FINDthe ADHDgirls is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to getting the word out to parents, educators and health professionals about the problem. I recorded an interview with their founder, Cynthia Hammer, MSW, a tireless and positive force in the field of ADHD for many years.
