A Spirit-led Attentiveness to the Needs of Others | Acts 16:16-40
Watermark Sunday Messages
About
Looking out for our own interests comes naturally, but paying attention to the needs of others is the work of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 16, Paul and Silas model a Spirit-led attentiveness to people in very different circumstances—a slave girl, fellow sufferers in prison, and a jailer headed toward despair. As the Spirit led them to see and serve the people in front of them, the gospel continued to advance. The same invitation is before us today: depend on the Spirit to notice the needs of others and respond with the hope of Jesus.
