The Nancy Stevens Lifestyle Show 82 | Strictly, Books, Theatre, Panto and a Very Personal Story
The Nancy Stevens Lifestyle Show
About
Nancy Stevens is back with another packed edition of the Nancy Stevens Lifestyle Show, covering everything from television and books to theatre, pantomime and a deeply personal story about living with alcoholism.
Nancy shares her thoughts on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, including the new presenting line-up, before discussing two of her recent TV favourites, Trigger Point and Ludwig.
There are also two very different book reviews, with Nancy comparing Anton Du Beke's A Dance for a King with John Robbins' Thirst: 12 Drinks That Changed My Life. John's book leads Nancy into an unusually personal and emotional conversation about her own experience of being in a relationship with an alcoholic, the impact it had on her life and the support she found through Al-Anon.
The mood then lifts as Nancy reviews two very different theatre experiences at Milton Keynes Theatre – the spectacular Barnum and the terrifying Paranormal Activity – before looking back on an unforgettable Sleeping Beauty pantomime press day at Chicheley Hall.
Nancy reveals what it was like to interview Alexander Burke, Christopher Biggins and Richard Cadell, as well as her unforgettable encounter with Sooty, complete with a surprise soaking from his water pistol!
