Evening Edition: 'Operation Economic Outcast' Aims to Strangle Iran's Economy

President Donald Trump says the United States is targeting Iran's economy with an unprecedented wave of new sanctions in what is labeled 'Operation Economic Outcast'. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the new sanctions imposed on Tehran focus on the country's five "most vital lifelines" financially. Iran's head of national security says Tehran will "retaliate in a seismic manner" to any sanctions and will consider any country supporting sanctions to be committing an act of war.



FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with EJ Kimball, the director of policy and strategic operations for the U.S. Israel Education Association, who says the new sanctions have a focus on cutting funds to the IRGC, which could lead to the collapse of the regime.
