📧 ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Subscribe to our newsletterಕೋಟೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವರು ಒಂದು ಸ್ವ-ರಚಿತ ಕವನ ವಾಚನವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರ ದೀಕ್ಷಿತಮುನ್ನುಡಿ:ತಾನು ಎನ್ನುವ ಅರಿವು ಜೀವದ ಕುರುಹು. ಅಮೀಬದಂಥ ಏಕಕೋಶ ಜೀವಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು, ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ವರೆಗೂ, ತಾನು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಸ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ. ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ಪರಾಕಾಷ್ಠತೆಗೆ ಏರಿದೆ. ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಅದು ಕರಾಳತೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೊರಳಿದೆ. ತನ್ನ ಬದುಕು ಉಳಿವಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೆ ಭೇದ ಭಾವಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತ, ಇತರರ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡುವುದೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಪರರ ನಷ್ಟವೇ ತನ್ನ ಲಾಭ, ಪರರ ದುಃಖವೇ ತನ್ನ ಸುಖ, ಪರರ ಕ್ಷೋಭೆಯೆ ತನಗೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಎನ್ನುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡ ಪಿಡುಗು. "ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಜಾತಿ ತಾನೊಂದೆ ವಲಂ" ಎಂದ ಪಂಪನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆರು ಶತಮಾನಗಳ ನಂತರದ ಸರ್ವಜ್ಞನ ನುಡಿ "ನಡೆವುದೊಂದೇ ಭೂಮಿ, ಕುಡಿವುದೊಂದೇ ನೀರು, ಸುಡುವಗ್ನಿಯೊಂದೆ ಇರುತಿರಲು, ಕುಲಗೋತ್ರ ನಡುವೆ ಎತ್ತಣದು? ಸರ್ವಜ್ಞ."ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಕೇಳುವುದೆ ಇಲ್ಲ.ಅಸಮಾನತೆ ಇದ್ದಾಗಲೂ ಸಮಾನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಾಳುವುದು ಮನುಷ್ಯತ್ವ ಎಂದಾದರೆ ಅದು ವಿರಳವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಮಾನತೆ ಇದ್ದಾಗಲೂ ಅಸಮಾನತೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೆ ಈಗ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಕುರುಹಾಗಿದೆ. ವಿಚಿತ್ರವೆಂದರೆ, ಇಂಥ ಕರಾಳತೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಕೂಡ ಇರುವುದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲಿಯೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ, ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನೇ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ.ಕೋಟೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವರು ಕಟ್ಟುವರು : ಮನೆ ಸುತ್ತ, ಮನ ಸುತ್ತ ಕಾಂಕ್ರೀಟು ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಉಸುಕು ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅರಳು ಮರಳು ಏನೆಲ್ಲ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಬೆರೆಸಿ ಕೋಟೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವರು. ಅದು ಇದು ಎಂದು ಗೆರೆ ಎಳೆಯುವರು; ನಾನು ನನ್ನವರೆಂದು, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನವರೆಂದು ಗೋಡೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವರು. ಅವರು ಇವರೆಂದು ಕಂದಕ ತೋಡುವರು; ಒಳಗೆ ಹೊರಗೆಂದು ಪೊರೆ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಕುಲ ಜಾತಿ ನೀತಿ ಎಂದು ಬೇರೆ ಎಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ಮತ ಪಂಥ ಎಂದು ಕವಲೊಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಮನಸು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಕನಸಲ್ಲಿ ನನಸು ಕಟ್ಟುವರು. ಕಣ್ಣು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಇರವನ್ನೆ ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯುವರು;ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅರಳಿಸಿ ಆದರಿಸುವರು : ಏಳು ಸುತ್ತಿನ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆ, ಎಸಳು ಎಸಳಿನ ಗುಲಾಬಿ, ತಂಪು ಕಂಪಿನ ಸವಿಕುಡಿಕೆ; ಮಕರಂದ ಆನಂದ ಪಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಮೀಯ ಆಹ್ವಾನ; ಕೋಟೆ ಕಾವಲಿಗಲ್ಲ - ಕರೆದು ಆದರಿಸಲೆಂದು.ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಕೆಡವುವರು : ಎಳೆ ಎಳೆಯ ಸುತ್ತಿ, ಮೈ ಸುತ್ತ ಪೊರೆ ಬೆಳೆಸಿ, ಗೂಡಲ್ಲಿ ಗೂಢವಾಯಿತು ಧ್ಯಾನಸ್ಥ ಚಿಟ್ಟೆಮರಿ; ರೂಪಾಂತರದ ಚಮತ್ಕಾರ; ಜೀವ ಸಂತತ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಕಾರ. ಕೋಟೆ ಕಾವಲಿಗಲ್ಲ‌ - ಹರಿದು ಹೊರಬರಲೆಂದು, ಮನ ತೆರೆದು ತೋರಿಸಲೆಂದು.ಆಯ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮದು.ನಿಮ್ಮವನೇ ಆದ, ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರ ದೀಕ್ಷಿತಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತರಿಕೆ, ನವಂಬರ್‌ ೧, ೨೦೨೫.ಕೋಟೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವರು.ಕವನ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಚನ: ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರ ದೀಕ್ಷಿತ.--------The Fort BuilderA self-composed poem readingVishweshwara DikshitPreface:The awareness of self is the essence of life. It seems that it is not just for its own survival, not just among animals,but among themselves; while imagining differences where they do not exist, it seems that it's aim is to ⁠... continued hereTherefore, it has become questionable whether man has freedom to choose.Poem: Fort Builders(They) build forts: Around the house, Around the mind Mixing concrete, wood, Sand and bricks, And all kinds of matters. Saying this and that They draw the lines; Saying I and mine, You and yours, They build walls. Saying those and these They dig ditches; Saying inside(rs) and outside(rs) They grow blinders (over their eyes) Saying caste, clan, character The count themselves separate; Saying reigion, creed, sect They fork into ways. With minds closed They build reality in dreams; With eyes closed, They deny the reality.(They) build to Welcome and Cherish: Seven-round jasmine, Rose of many petals, A delicious drink of cool vibration; A dear invitation to drink the nectar; Not a fort to repel and guard - But To invite and cherish.They build and tear down: Wrapped thread by thread, Growing a sheath around, Hidden in the nest, A meditative butterfly; A miracle of transformation; A realization of the life cycle.
