ON REVIEW: Jayhawks O-Line STRUGGLES in KSU Loss, Isaiah Marshall Plays Well & More Kansas Takeaways

Kansas Jayhawks’ offensive line woes threaten momentum as Isaiah Marshall’s resilience sparks new hope. Can KU’s offense overcome its blocking issues before facing Baylor? Derek Johnson spotlights struggles in the trenches, highlighting Kasen Carpenter’s protection lapses and the impact of injuries to Connor Stroh and others. Penalties and missed opportunities compound the challenge, but Marshall’s poise under pressure and flashes of brilliance suggest potential for a turnaround.

On defense, Kansas faces concerns after the Wildcats exploited gaps up front and shoddy tackling. Questions arise about scheme—should the Jayhawks shift to a heavier linebacker set to shore up the run defense? Johnson also shares updates on injuries, personnel changes in the two-deep, recruiting headlines for KU basketball, and the rise of Jayhawk volleyball and soccer in national polls. Can the Jayhawks regain their edge on both sides of the ball as critical matchups loom?
