1/15/26 LEADERS PREDETERMINE THE CULTURE - HERE’S HOW

Every directive of policy, procedure and process begins in the imagination of those responsible for the results. Many times a polos process sounds great around the conference table, looks good to the liability protection squad, (risk mitigation) and feels like a reasonable thinking those who must execute said policy. Unfortunately, like Napoleon said, “A battle plan will not survive more than 15 minutes once you engage the enemy.” Similarly, Mike Tyson reminded us: “Everyone’s a tough guy until he gets punched in the face.”  

The one place where the imagination of the leader is a must win battle, is the culture war. This war is fought one well articulated idea at a time. The attitude expressed, impressed and imposed on the team by the recognized influencers will become the culture. Things true in a family, in a company, in a community and in a nation. 

Choose the culture you wish to live in. Then get busy with the inception of the language of that culture.
