A leader who feels confident, strong, assertive, bold, in charge ONLY when they are right IMHO is a weak leader. They are usually, actually deeply insecure and must be assertive to convince everyone they are right. Even when they suspect they are not.

A leader who thinks “I could be wrong and I want to know if I am,” might seem weak, submissive and malleable to the outsider. The confidence, emotional intelligence, moral foundations and long term stability are likely the trademarks of a leader who knows how to be corrected.

Both of these leadership styles will surface through the stories the leader chooses to tell. Ego and humility both hide in everyday conversations.
