Maytide Theatre Company proudly presents the world premiere of It Is Well with My Soul, an original musical written by Adelaide locals inspired by a true story of hope, hardship, resilience, and healing. Opening this February as part of the 2026 Adelaide Fringe, this moving new work blends stunning original music with heartfelt storytelling to explore how faith and community can carry us through life’s fiercest storms.
The famous hymn "It Is Well with My Soul," written by Horatio Spafford, has inspired our stage musical, and we are bringing honest portrayals of unimaginable loss, and enduring faith to the 2026 Fringe season.
MORE ABOUT OUR HOST - Andrew Broadbent
Andrew has been involved in community theatre for 20 years, majority with the Murray Bridge Players & Singers, stage managing his first musical in 2006 at the age of 13! He has since gone on to play a hand in almost every aspect of a production across a number of other theatre companies including Kapunda Musical Society, GreenWall Studio, South Coast Choral and Arts Society, St. Jude's Players, and currently Maytide Theatre Company!
Outside of theatre, Andrew runs to theatre-based businesses: A Thousand Words: an online platform reviewing SA theatre, and Broadbent Prints: A theatre-based merch printing service!
The spirit of community theatre begins at the top with the values shared and the opinions voiced carrying through their company and felt by their members.
