The Fourth Canto of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam describes the descendants of Svāyambhuva Manu and highlights stories teaching devotion, humility, and detachment. It includes Dakṣa’s sacrifice and Lord Śiva’s anger, Dhruva Mahārāja’s deep devotion leading to divine realization, and the righteous rule of King Pṛthu, an incarnation of Lord Viṣhṇu. The allegory of King Purañjana explains the soul’s bondage through material desires. Overall, this canto emphasizes that sincere devotion to Lord Viṣhṇu leads to peace, prosperity, and liberation.
