Their exchanges are initially brief and awkward—her bubbly inquiries met with his succinct honesty. Yet, it’s this unvarnished directness that Suzuki finds herself drawn to. After a minor misunderstanding forces her hand, Suzuki confesses her feelings, only to discover, to her absolute delight, that Tani feels the same way.
