C&S - Summer Reflection Series 2026 - "From Mass to Meadow, Living our Faith outdoors" - 13 Sept 2026 (S06E41)

During the summer months here on C&SI we try to share with listeners reflections and talks which we have come across which we think deserve a wider audience and to provide some thoughtful listening for our listeners. 

On this weeks programme we are sharing a reflection given at the National Novena at Knock in August 2026 by Sheila Murphy called "From Mass to Meadow: Living our Faith outdoors".  We thought this would be an appropriate one to share this week with listeners as we are into the Season of Prayer for Creation (from 1 Sept to 4th Oct). 

Sheila Murphy is the Mayo County Council Biodiversity Officer, and an experienced ecologist with over 15 years’ experience in the field of ecology and community engagement. She is passionate about how we can positively contribute towards the management, restoration and protection of our habitats and ecosystems. Sheila works closely with local authority staff, community groups and stakeholders towards positive outcomes for biodiversity.

In part one we have our regular liturgical odds and ends including the upcoming saints of the week.

In part three, we have our weekly reflection on the Sunday gospel (Matthew 18:21-35) where we have one of the most challenging gospels asking us what we understand by forgiveness with Jesus holding us to God's generous standard.
