About
Local government pivotal in implementing good climate policy – inadequate technical support for small councils – the world is going backwards on climate initiatives – huge imbalance on funding allocation, oveprioritising roading – increasing global inequity and effective climate action - NZ should exploit its smallness and nimbleness – intensification can be done very well and can be a game changer - need a different approach to controlling and empowering good development – we use the wrong and narrow metrics for evaluating transport options – low density suburbia a millstone round councils’ necks in perpetuity
