About

Greg DeMarco and Andrew Balaz remember PAC, discuss Shinjuku Face, MLW, NXT, TNA, JCW, and revisit a classic All Japan tag match.

Greg DeMarco and Andrew Balaz return with a heavier episode of the Axe Bomber Podcast, opening with the passing of PAC and a wider discussion about what made him such a unique performer across WWE, AEW, Dragon Gate, and the independent wrestling world.

Rather than focus on speculation surrounding his death, Greg and Andrew spend most of the conversation on PAC’s career and legacy. They look back at the different versions of the wrestler fans knew as Benjamin Satterly, Neville, and PAC, and why he stood out even in an era filled with elite athletes and high-flyers.

Andrew compares PAC to a modern-day Dynamite Kid, not because of appearance or presentation, but because of the way he combined athleticism with intensity, timing, and physical credibility. PAC could do spectacular things, but the appeal was never just that he could flip. His offense had purpose, his movement looked controlled, and even his most athletic spots felt like they belonged inside a wrestling match rather than being performed simply for the reaction.

The conversation also touches on the public release of the 911 dispatch call connected to PAC’s death and why Greg and Andrew believe that kind of information should remain private. From there, they discuss the different expectations fans place on WWE and AEW when it comes to tributes and remembrance, and how quickly those conversations can become another excuse for wrestling tribalism.

The episode also acknowledges the passing of SoCal Crazy, a longtime fixture of the Southern California independent scene whose career and battle with cancer left an impact on wrestlers and fans throughout the region.

Another major topic is the closure of Shinjuku Face, one of the most recognizable smaller wrestling venues in Japan. Andrew explains why the building mattered beyond simply being another place to run shows. For promotions including DDT, Stardom, Tokyo Joshi Pro, NOAH and others, certain venues become part of the rhythm and prestige of the touring calendar. Losing one changes more than just where a company can book a date.

From there, Axe Bomber returns to its regular trip around the wrestling landscape.

Andrew checks in on MLW, including Black Tiger IX, Masha Slamovich’s arrival, and the continued frustration surrounding Lady Frost. Greg and Andrew also discuss NXT’s Miles Borne, particularly a recent promo that may offer clues about how WWE sees his long-term development and whether working both sides of the heel/babyface divide could help prepare him for the main roster.

JCW enters a new phase following its 100th episode, with the show continuing to combine nostalgia, comedy, bizarre characters, and actual wrestling in a way only JCW really can. Over in TNA, the discussion turns to Mustafa Ali, Leon Slater’s continued growth, BDE, and whether the promotion is finding a healthier balance between its own identity and its relationship with NXT.

The episode closes with the Match of the Week. Greg and Andrew look back at Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi versus Toshiaki Kawada and Akira Taue from All Japan in 1995, including the injured Kobashi, the relentless tag-team storytelling, and Kawada finally pinning Misawa.

Next week’s assignment sends the show back to PAC, this time through his Dragon Gate run, with PAC vs. KZY from Truth Gate 2019.

Somehow, through all of that, Lady Frost keeps getting kicked through the window.
