This week on Before the 1st Cast, we’re catching up on a huge week in professional bass fishing!
Bass Cast Radio
About
We recap Drew Gill’s incredible comeback victory at the MLF Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit Championship on the Kissimmee Chain, where a massive 31-pound, 13-ounce final-day bag propelled him to the win. We also break down the NPFL season finale at Lake Dardanelle, where Jason Burroughs claimed the victory and KJ Queen secured the 2026 NPFL Angler of the Year title.
Then we look ahead to the Bassmaster Elite Qualifier at Norfork Lake and an event especially close to my heart as an Army veteran — the inaugural NPFL Military Classic on Douglas Lake, bringing active-duty service members, veterans and military families together on the water.
Finally, this week’s fishing tip is all about the fall transition: find the baitfish and don’t leave them too quickly! Follow the groceries, work the area thoroughly, and give those bass a chance to come to you.
Tournament results, upcoming events, and a fishing tip to help you catch more bass — all Before the 1st Cast!
