The merchant Veerabhadra had four sons, whom he loved dearly. One day, he collected the rings he had given them, locked them in a box, and instructed that after his death they should ask their mother for the box and divide the rings among themselves. After Veerabhadra passed away, the youngest son secretly stole one ring from the box. Later, when the other brothers opened it after their father's last rites, they found only three rings. A dispute arose among them, and their mother sent them to their uncle to seek justice.
