ଆମେ ନିଜେ ଶକ୍ତି ଦେଇ ଜୀବନକୁ ଧରି ରଖିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିଥାଉ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ କହିଛନ୍ତି — “ମୋ ବିନା ତୁମେ କିଛି କରିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ” (ଯୋହନ 15:5)। ଯେପରି ଶାଖା ଗଛ ସହିତ ଯୋଡି ହୋଇ ଶକ୍ତି ଆଣେ, ଆମେ ଯୀଶୁ ଙ୍କୁ ସହିତ ଯୋଡି ହୋଇ ଆତ୍ମିକ ଫଳ ଫଳାଇଥାଉ — ଶାନ୍ତି, ଆନନ୍ଦ ଓ ନିଜକୁ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଭାବରେ ବଢିବାର ଅଭିଜ୍ଞତା। ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁରୁଣା ଭୟ, ଦୋଷ ଓ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ଅଭ୍ୟାସ ଗୁଡିକ ଅପେକ୍ଷାକୃତ ହୋଇଯାଏ। ଗୀତସଂହିତା 1:3 ରେ କୁହାଯାଇଛି, “ଯେ ବୃକ୍ଷ ଜଳସ୍ରୋତ ପାଖରେ ରୋପିତ, ସେ ସ୍ଵସମୟରେ ଫଳ ଦେଇଥାଏ।” ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରହନ୍ତି, ସେହି ଜୀବନ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଥାଏ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଉନ୍ନତି କରେ।
